Becky Hobbs, RMT, SCM, CCM

Having been an avid junior athlete, who was injured and eventually returned to sports, I understand the unique challenges faced by competitive athletes and sport enthusiasts. It  has also enabled and encouraged me to pursue a career in Massage Therapy. My experience with Military personnel and their families, as well as athletes of many types, has inspired me to expand my knowledge and experience. I look forward to working with new clients and athletes to help them to achieve their goals and to assist them to recover after injury to successfully return to everyday life and competition.

I graduated from a 2200-hour program with Alberta Massage Training in Lloydminster at the Lakeland College Campus in 2013. I started my training with Relaxation Massage, moved on to Deep Tissue and have completed courses in Advanced Sport Massage, Ligamentous Articular Strain, Myofascial Cupping, Kinesio-Taping, Sport Strapping and Taping, Low Level Laser Therapy, Athlete Injury Management and Sport First Responder First Aid.

I have worked at various events with a wide array of sports and athletes and enjoy the challenge that Massage Therapy provides. Being able to help out at the Canada Winter Games and the Alberta Summer Games garnered a different view for athletes. Being an active member with the Massage Therapist Association of Alberta (MTAA) and a Sport Candidate Member with the Canadian Sport Massage Therapists Association (CSMTA) has encouraged me to continue to pursue a diversity of training opportunities. My time with teams and individual sport has given me views of the variety of challenges athletes face.

Massage has allowed me the flexibility to spend time with my family hiking, camping, traveling, with our animals and various sports teams.
